​1. What is the duration and structure of the program?
The program spans 8 months, from January to August 2025. It includes on-site and online sessions, workshops, residencies, and a pitching showcase.
2. ​Who can apply for the program?
The program is open to European producers with rights to IP (public domain works are eligible as well) for drama series adaptation and scriptwriters interested in developing series adaptations and seeking international work opportunities.

3. I’m a producer with IP rights but have no attached writer/s from my country.
Can I apply?
Yes. Producers without writers attached yet are welcome to apply.

4. I’m a producer with IP rights but have not produced a series yet.
Can I apply?
Yes. Producers who may have or not have experience in producing series are encouraged to apply.

5. What are the types of IPs that I can apply with?
We are looking for a wide variety of pre-existing IPs, it can come from literary work (fiction and non fiction, comic books, graphic novels, articles), any types of performance art such as a (musical) theatre or a dance; film and television, video games; podcasts or radio emissions; children toys, board games; trademarks, among many others. Public domain works are eligible as well.

​6. What is the matchmaking process?
About 18 writers will be pre-selected. Producers will pitch their IPs online to the scriptwriters. Scriptwriters will choose one IP that matches their expertise and interest and create a proposal for further development. One to two scriptwriters are selected to join the creative teams.

7. How many writers will be selected?
Eighteen writers will be pre-selected based on the quality of their writing samples and motivation letters. After the matchmaking process, roughly 10 writers will be selected.

8. How many projects can I submit as a producer?
One application per producer is accepted.

9. When will I know if my application is selected?
Selected and pre-selected producers and writers will be announced in January 2025.

10. Is there a participation fee for the program once I get selected?
Participation in the Pop Up Series Incubator is free of charge.

11. What support do participants receive?
Each team receives a €10,000 grant for project work during the lab. Participants benefit from individualized development plans and mentorship from international industry experts.

12. What are the expected results of participating in the program?
Participants will develop their IPs into well-defined series concepts, gain valuable industry insights and connections, and enhance their chances of securing funding and production opportunities.
